Inaugurated in 2002 in the old Olive restaurant, this tavern located in the upper part of the Eixample neighbourhood, stands out for the exquisiteness of its tapas and the first quality of its ingredients. Their tapas, “raciones” (small portions of food served at bars) and montaditos (small open sandwiches, in the style of the Basque country) are cooked and served at the moment. Paco Meralgo has become a gastronomic enclave at the heart of the Eixample. Palamós shrimp, fresh prawn, txangurro, oysters, scallops, smaller scallops, and razor-shells are some of the “raciones” that you can accompany by an excellent menu of Riojas and vintage wines.
